Dr. Bartlett Runs a Marathon

On January 9, Dr. Brett Bartlett, member of the blood center’s board of directors and laboratory medical director at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, participated in the Walt Disney World Marathon. 7,700 runners finished the race. Dr. Bartlett ran with his wife, Susan, who was a first-timer. They finished in 5 hours, 3 minutes — very good for a beginner. Fun was had along the way.

The Leukemia Team in Training had about 500 runners and raised more than $3 million on this one race. What about a Community Blood Services Team for next time?
