Katy’s Korner

The Hubbell Family has much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. It has only been six months since Katy received her bone marrow transplant from a matched unrelated donor, whom she has dubbed "Jack." Katy is alive today because of the selfless act this donor made.

Since our last newsletter, Katy’s kidneys are giving her trouble. As Katy says, "Those stupid, ‘ole kidneys!" Katy suffers from nephritis, a condition most likely caused by the pre-chemo/radiation treatment she had to endure before she received the bone marrow transplant. They are still researching how they will treat this. Katy will be going back to Houston after Thanksgiving for a post bone marrow transplant check up.

Katy’s Website has new pictures of her Orlando trip! Check these out at her web site...
